The English premier league returned to our screens for our viewing pleasure after the FA cup break with a whole lot of new drama. Of course, we were stunned to witness the 4-0 pummeling of Manchester City at the hands of Everton at Goodison Park as Pep Guardiola’s team continue to falter perpetually in the league and have now fallen out of the top four. However, it was in the other Merseyside-Manchester tussle staged at Old Trafford, that very interesting scenes really did unfold. Although, the game ended in a 1-1 stalemate which makes it the first time such would occur in the league since 1991/1992 season with both sides having played out a corresponding goalless stalemate at Anfield in October.it was a pulsating game which entertained from the blast of the whistle.
